FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
I photograph weddings much like I photograph everything else — as a life reel.
Of course we'll get the photos everyone expects, but I'm watching for everything happening around them too.
The look across the room. Your mum fixing your dress. Someone wiping away a tear. Hands held under the table. Kids running through the reception. Wind catching your veil. The laughter, the nerves, the chaos and all those tiny moments you didn't even realise were happening.
Because afterwards, weddings have a funny way of feeling almost like a dream.
I want your photographs to be the stills from that dream — a little ethereal, but completely real.
Not just what your wedding looked like.
What it felt like.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Bowen, North Queensland, and yes — I'm happy to travel.
Depending on where you're taking me, travel, accommodation or an overnight stay may need to be included in your quote, as I don't drive long distances at night.
For some locations, this may mean a local photographer is the more economical option — and I'll always be upfront with you about that.
But if you've found my work and decided *I'm your person*, send me the details and I'll happily put together a travel quote.
I've camera. Will travel. Just preferably in daylight.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 4 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints through my website!
How many pictures will we receive?
This is a hard one to put a number on — so I generally don't.
I don't photograph to reach a certain number of images, and I don't stop editing because I've reached one either. If I photograph it, love it and think it belongs in your story, chances are you're getting it.
I also don't cull too brutally. What I think is beautifully artistic might not be your favourite at all — while the slightly wonky one where your child is pulling a face might be absolute gold to you.
And yes, I'll probably throw in a blooper or two. They're usually some of my favourites.
Obviously, the length of your session makes a difference. A Mini might give you around 30 images — sometimes less, sometimes more. A longer session will naturally create a much bigger gallery.
But I'm not really a *“5 photos for $50 and choose your favourites”* kind of photographer.
You found me because you like the way I see things.
So I'll photograph your story, edit the images worth keeping, and give you the good ones.
